An update to Sleeve with improved macOS Tahoe support is on it's way, but it can't restore support for Apple Music streaming due to a breaking change made by Apple.
While we're working on and looking forward to shipping a fresh version of Sleeve designed for Liquid Glass and macOS Tahoe, we hoped to have better news to bring to our customers who stream Apple Music and have noticed Sleeve has stopped working with streaming Apple Music tracks that aren't in their library since Tahoe's release last month.
Our hope was that this bug — where AppleScript support for streaming Apple Music tracks (tracks not in the user's library) is broken — would be fixed when Tahoe exited beta, but unfortunately it still persists.
Plenty of other app creators have reported this same issue and have apps that are affected in the same way. Our expectation is that now that Tahoe has been released, and major bugs are being addressed, this Apple Music issue becomes more of a priority for Apple and gets addressed in an upcoming point release.
Until then we're continuing to try to find workarounds, but to be up front, the best outcome is that Apple patch this themselves, as it seems like the breaking change wasn't intentional.
For now, we'll update our App Store descriptions and marketing pages to make it clear that Apple Music support in Tahoe is only partial, for local tracks only. We know this is frustrating, and we're sorry we don't have more certain news to share. As always, thanks for using Sleeve.
