Themes allow you to create multiple, personalizable styles for Sleeve that you can switch between instantly. They're a great way to try out and apply new looks for Sleeve to match your wallpaper or environment.

Using the built-in themes

Sleeve comes with a number of ready to use, built-in themes. To switch between them;

1. Open Settings
2. Go to the Themes tab
3. Select any theme to switch to it

Creating your own themes

Custom themes can be created by duplicating any existing theme, or saving your current one.

Save your current settings as a new theme:

1. With your theme applied, click the New Theme button in the toolbar.
2. Choose a name for your theme and click Save. (You can always change it later).
3. That's it! Sleeve will add the theme to the themes list and apply it.

Duplicate an existing theme:

1. Right click any theme in the Themes tab, or from the Current Theme popover menu, and choose Duplicate Theme...
2. Choose a name for your new theme and click Save. (You can always change it later).
3. That's it! Sleeve will add the theme to the themes list and apply it.
4. Any changes you now make will be saved to your new theme.

To make changes to your theme, browse to any of the preferences under the Theme heading in the sidebar. Your changes will always be persisted to the currently selected theme.

Exporting themes

If you'd like to share your theme and let other Sleeve users install it:

1. Right click the Theme you want to export from the Themes list (or open the Theme popover in the toolbar) and choose Export Theme...
2. In the Export Theme window, choose a location to save the .sleevetheme file to and click Export.
3. Your .sleevetheme can be found in the location you saved it

Importing themes

Any .sleevetheme file can be added to your themes by importing it. You can open the file directly from Finder to begin the import flow. Sleeve will show a preview of the theme and theme author and give you the option to continue and Import Theme.
